As part of the business park upgrade Centrespace design were asked to look into the structural design of a number of elements around the park. New canopies to units 3 and 4. Work top the entrance security hut and new seating areas throughout the park.

The new entrance canopies. The brief was to create a slim profile unobtrusive canopy that would help update the aesthetic of the building and match the new branding image of the park. Although a lightweight structure ensuring the minimal deflection of the long span roof was critical, similarly ensuring the structure worked with the roofs rainwater run off strategy was entegral to the design.

The curved seating area provides a central hub for the site. The canopy was created using steel profiled sections cantilevered off a semi circular reinforced concrete base. The curved structure providing much of the lateral stability of the frame.
