This 6 storey mixed use building was constrained by retaining the façade of an old pub whilst dropping the existing structure to build back up again in steel frame with concrete and timber floors.

The property is located at the gateway to the city from the east. With such a prominent location the planners were keen to make a statement with the extended roof structure.

As such the aluminium grid shell was designed to be installed over the top two floors to provide shading and screening to the penthouse flats.

Due for completion 2019, the views back to the city are breathtaking.
