We had an incredible evening celebrating Knighton Mill at the LABC Grand Final awards recently.
Working with client Spratley & Partners – the beautiful new build home in Cranborne Chase AONB was shortlisted for Best Individual New Home at the ceremony on 24th January.
The scheme was designed to sit sensitively in the landscape with a design that referenced the original mill that once stood in its place, balanced with a contemporary glass wing.
Overcoming significant logistical challenges, a temporary build of a coffer dam rediverted the river to ensure the superstructure and groundworks along the River Ebble could be carried out – followed by the reorientation of the new building’s footprint, enhancing the arrival experience of the site.
